Biography
Gail L. Chase is a Long Island watercolor painter. She has always been delighted by the creative process. Her English grandmother used to say, “That child is always mucksing about.” Painting on location is important to her work in watercolor. She enjoys trying to capture the atmosphere and feeling of the day in her landscapes. When plein air painting is not an option, she finds challenge in setting up a still life, gathering flowers and objects that will compliment each other. She states: “In all my work color is most important . I love color in clothing, in the decoration of our home and most of all in painting. My goal is to communicate to the viewer the joy I feel in painting.”
