Biography
I am creative. I am inspired and fulfilled by the creative process. "Photographic Art" is one of several creative mediums through which I enjoy expressing my vision of the world. I have been published as a photographic artist, an author and a composer(Theme Song, 1984 Intl.Games For The Disabled).
My images have been displayed and/or sold at Old Westbury Gardens, photo exhibit, Fire Island Lighthouse, Annual(juried) Art Show , St. Ignatius Retreat House, Manhasset, , Vineyard 48 Winery, Cutchogue, , Corner's Picture Framing, Syosset, Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, St. John's Church, Cold Spring Harbor, Caumsett's Foundation 12th Annual (Art Auction) Benefit, Art League of LI (Art After Dark Participating Artist), Book Revue, Huntington, (Artist of the Month). I have served as a judge in juried art competitions sponsored by Plainview Old Bethpage Library and Town of Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA).
Furthermore, MY ARTWORK HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR SOLO ARTIST EXHIBITION (70 SOLO EXHIBITS TO DATE) AT UNIVERSITIES, PUBLIC LIBRARIES, BANKS, REGIONAL SHOPPING CENTERS,RESTAURANTS, GOVERNMENT OFFICES,ADULT HOMES AND COMMUNITY CENTERS THROUGHOUT LONG ISLAND. Some of these venues include libraries in Babylon , Baldwin, Bay Shore-Brightwaters, Bayville, Bethpage, Cold Spring Harbor,Deer Park,East Islip,East Meadow, Elmont, Farmingdale, Garden City, Glen Cove, Great Neck, Hicksville, Huntington , Jericho, Levittown, Locust Valley, Massapequa, Mattituck-Laurel,Merrick, Mineola, North Bellmore, Northport-East Northport, Oyster Bay-East Norwich,Peninsula(Lawrence), Plainedge, Plainview- Old Bethpage( dual artist exhibit), Port Jefferson, Rockville Center, Setauket,Valley Stream Wantagh, West Islip. I am a dedicated gardener and have a passion for vibrant colors and tranquil landscapes. The magnificent landscapes of Long Island have provided me with an abundant source of inspiration. Because my images are creatively edited, they resemble paintings. Through my "Photographic Art" process,I have attempted to capture the charm and elegance of Long Island's scenic landscapes in a comprehensive body of work. I am an artist. IF ONLY I COULD PAINT LIKE BEHRENS AND VAN GOGH. IF ONLY I COULD PLAY BASKETBALL LIKE MICHAEL JORDAN AND PLAY FOOTBALL LIKE PEYTON MANNING. IF ONLY I COULD. IF ONLY WE ALL COULD.
