Biography
Annie M. Dilworth

Eight years ago I fell in love with the East End of Long Island. Originally from Virginia I studied under prominent artist, Barkley Sheeks from Newport News and attended various workshops. My work has been shown in galleries and private homes on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

When I first came to the North Fork I was inspired by the picturesque scenery, the beaches, vineyards and in particular the roadside stands with their colorful vegetable, fruits and flower displays. I had a solo show at "Flowers at the Greenery" in Westhampton Beach where many of my paintings were purchased by designers and private collectors. My work is currently being shown at the Atelier Gallery and the Terrance Joyce Gallery in Greenport. Four years ago I enrolled in the "Long Island Academy of Fine Arts" in Riverhead where I am continuing my studies. It is my family, my friends and my painting that continually provide me with the greatest sense of joy and fulfillment in life, and Oh yes, I can't forget my dog "Wally" who is always at my side.
